600+ sellers coached 1 brand built & sold teaching since 2017
Spent my whole first month deep in spreadsheets trying to figure out if my product idea was actually any good. Loaded BloomLens, ran the same product, and had my answer in about 30 seconds. Wish I'd found this sooner.

The real problem

Most FBA failures are picked, not caused.

The sellers who burn out don't fail at logistics, ads, or effort. They fail months earlier — on the day they chose the product. Then they spend a year and most of their savings finding out.

  • "How I found this ONE product" courses. That's a survivor telling you a story, not a process you can repeat. You can't follow a lottery ticket.

  • Me-too picks in giant markets. A product identical to twenty others, against brands with thousands of reviews, wins exactly one way: by being cheaper. That's not a business — that's a race to zero margin.

  • No reason to win. If you can't say in one sentence why a customer picks your listing over the look-alikes, neither can the customer.

  • Capital spent before skill is built. The most expensive way to learn product selection is a $5,000 inventory order that doesn't move.

None of that is a work-ethic problem. It's a selection problem — and selection is a learnable skill.

The method

A system built on elimination, not excitement.

Three named principles. Every student learns them, every product decision runs through them. This is the same playbook behind the brand I built and sold — and the one I'm building now.

PRINCIPLE 01

The Research Funnel

Evaluate 100 products looking for reasons to say no — not one product looking for reasons to say yes. Demand, margin, competition, defensibility: each stage kills most of what enters it.

The product that survives every stage has earned your capital. The other 99 cost you nothing.

Some days nothing survives. That's not the funnel failing — that's the funnel working.

PRINCIPLE 02

Plant Seeds, Not Trees

Skip the giant markets. They're owned by big brands with thousand-review moats and ad budgets you can't match — and they were "proven niches" in someone's course five years ago.

Start with small, manageable, defensible opportunities that fit your actual budget. A seed you can fully fund beats a tree you can't afford to water.

Boring by design. Sellable on purpose.

PRINCIPLE 03

Super Selling Points

Every product needs one specific reason it's the obvious pick over the look-alikes. Not "better quality." One concrete, visible difference a customer can spot in three seconds.

SSPs aren't invented in a brainstorm. They're found — hiding in the "wish it had…" complaints buried in your competitors' reviews.

Your competitors' one-star reviews are your product spec.

Student results

What happens when you stop guessing.

Real sellers, real products, real decisions — including the launches we talked people out of. No income claims here, ever; results below are individual and earned.

I was 100% about to order 500 units when BloomLens flagged a sourcing issue I'd completely missed. Could have been a $4K mistake on my first launch. Now I won't pull the trigger on inventory without running it through.

Not gonna lie, I was skeptical — every Amazon tool promises the world. But this one actually shows you why a product will or won't work, not just a score. Launched my first product last month and it's tracking way better than I expected.

The method, taught. The method, automated.

Learn the system with other sellers — or put the vetting math on rails with software. Most serious students end up using both.

Who's teaching this

I teach what I'm doing now. Not what worked five years ago.

I'm Dave Keefe. I've been selling on Amazon since 2017, and the method on this page isn't theory — it's the post-mortem of my own failures and the playbook behind my own exit.

  1. 2017

Left with a backpack and a laptop.

Quit the default path, started selling on Amazon from the road. No warehouse, no team, no safety net.

  2. THE EARLY YEARS

Picked products the way everyone does. Paid for it.

Exciting products, crowded markets, no reason to win. The losses stacked up until I was flat broke in Cambodia, deciding whether this business was real or a story I'd been telling myself.

  3. THE TURN

A boring RV part nobody would brag about.

Small market. Real margin. A specific reason to win. Zero glamour. It sold — and kept selling. Every principle I teach was reverse-engineered from why that product worked when the exciting ones didn't.

  4. 2025

    Sold the brand.

Exited the automotive brand through Empire Flippers. Boring products, it turns out, make sellable assets.

  5. NOW

Doing it again, in the open.

Building a second brand in a 50/50 partnership — running the same funnel I teach, on this year's Amazon, not 2019's. Coaching 600+ sellers along the way.

Fair questions

The things you should be skeptical about.

If you've been burned by a course before, good — that skepticism will serve you well in product research too. Straight answers below.

The popular niches are saturated. The ones every course points at — yes, those are done, and they were done years ago. But Amazon has hundreds of thousands of sub-markets, and most are too small or too boring for big brands to bother with. That's exactly where we operate.

"Too late" assumes you're racing everyone. Plant Seeds, Not Trees means you're not — you're picking ground nobody's fighting over.

Honest answer: more than the YouTube ads say, less than you fear. Most students launch their first product with $3,000–$8,000 all-in — inventory, shipping, photography, initial ads. It depends heavily on the product, which is why budget is a filter inside the Research Funnel, not an afterthought.

If you have less, the right move is to start learning and vetting now (that part costs almost nothing) and order when the capital is ready. The funnel doesn't expire.

Three things. First, the method is elimination-based — we teach you to kill 99 products, not to fall in love with one. Most courses teach the reverse, which is why their students all launch the same garlic press.

Second, I'm still doing this. I sold one brand in 2025 and I'm building another right now. What I teach on Tuesday is what I did on Monday.

Third, no income porn. No screenshots, no "quit your job in 90 days." We build sellable assets, and assets take time. If that's disappointing, the other courses are easy to find.

That fear is the reason the whole method exists. The Research Funnel is built to make "the wrong product" fail on paper — in a spreadsheet, in the Vetting Calculator, in a weekly Q&A — before it can fail in a $5,000 inventory order.

No system makes risk zero, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something. But there's a big difference between a calculated bet on a vetted product and a coin flip on an exciting one.

Both, and the line is clear. The Standard tier is free — community access, Phase 1 of the training, and a BloomEngine free trial. Premium is $97/month: the full Grow With FBA training, the weekly live Q&A, mastermind recordings, and 20% off BloomEngine. There's also a VIP year at $897 that includes BloomEngine itself and three live calls a week.

Nothing inside is hidden-upsell theater. Free is genuinely useful; paid is the full system. Start free, upgrade when the free tier stops being enough.

No. The method works with the course, the Vetting Calculator, and patience. BloomEngine exists because the math the funnel requires — demand, competition, margin, market structure — takes hours per product by hand and about 60 seconds with software.

Think of it this way: the course teaches you to drive; BloomEngine is the faster car. Try it free for 7 days at bloomengine.ai and keep it only if it earns its seat.
